Commercial Water heaters
Commercial water heaters account for a large percentage of the energy needs of any facility. These needs may be a little lower in the case of office buildings or certain industries that don't require round the clock supply of hot water. But in the case of hotels, the percentage may be as high as 40% of the total energy bill. Therefore, it is essential that a commercial water heater have the highest degree of energy efficiency. These water heaters can be storage models or commercial tankless water heaters, electric or gas powered. There are also heat pump and tankless coil models, as well as hot water supply boilers that are only used to supply portable hot water to a facility, and do not meet space heating needs.
Commercial gas water heaters have a typical thermal efficiency of up to 80%, but this can increase up to 95%. Commercial electrical water heaters may vary on the standby heat loss generated, which is usually expressed as loss per hour in percentage. Typical loss per hour values can be between 0.5% to 2%, with the lower value meaning greater energy efficiency.
A commercial tankless water heater is ideally suited for a building which has a more or less uniform requirement of hot water in a day. If the demand is greater at specified hours in the day, then a storage water heater works best. My hot water isnt as hot as it was a few months ago. I think I blew my lower heat element in the tank. The top of the tank is warm bottom is not. Hot water doesnt last as long as it used to as well. Would love someone to give me a free look as to if I can simply replace the element or if I need to replace the tank completely. Thanks in advance! |
